NYC Taxi Workers’ Alliance is preparing an early Sept. strike against a mandatory GPS system (basically because it will help owners keep tighter control over drivers, in a job that’s already a ‘sweatshop on wheels’). Phila. cabbied did a similar strike last year. Here are some interesting links:
